Artist, Shary Bartlett brought her unique painting with beeswax technique to the MACC girls club last week. The smell of beeswax permeated the cultural centre as these young people composed and created these 3 dimensional collages.

MACC girls learnt how vegetables and spices are utilized in dyeing cloth. Working with artist Rebecca Graham, they cut up cabbage, parsley and brewed vats of dyes including those chopped vegetable along with turmeric and coffee! They learnt about mordants and tying silk in order to create and achieve a hand dyed scarf which they took home.
